Israeli choreographer, performer, and teacher, currently based in Berlin, Germany. 

Born in Israel, Yaara grew up gazing out over the hills of the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea. This powerful landscape has always been a source of endless inspiration, instilling quietness in her mind. 

Dancing has been an integral part of her life ever since she can remember. She began taking dancing classes when she was 5 years old. 

At the age of 10, Yaara joined the RAD accredited ‘Bat-Dor School of Ballet’ and later continued her intensive dance training in a kibbutz. 

Exploring her passion for movement, Yaara found great joy in horseback riding, connecting her curiosity for movement and her fascination with the merger between her movements as a rider and that of the horse. She found a strong healing element in both. 

From the age of 16, she volunteered in an NGO that was active in the Gaza Strip in the Palestinian Authority. This activity affected some of the dance pieces that she later choreographed. 

Her professional dance career began at the age of 17 with several projects. 

At the age of 19, she joined the 'Batsheva Ensemble' led by Ohad Naharin, choreographer and creator of Gaga movement method. She followed her own artistic vision, forming a dance group, teaching and giving workshops, and cooperating with other choreographers and artists from different fields.

As a Dancer: Batsheva Ensemble, Anat Danieli, Inbal Pinto, Barak Marshall, ‘Matanicola’, Rami Levi, Yossi Tmim, Michael Getman. 

As a Choreographer: DeDe Dance Company, Co-founder, artistic director, choreographer and dancer. Tel Aviv Dance Company, Co-founder, artistic director, choreographer and dancer. 

The Maslul Advanced Dance Training Program, Co-founder. 

Prizes & Awards: Adami Prize for Best Performing Artist at the Bagnolet International Dance Competition - Paris, France.  Ministry of Culture Prize for Young Choreographers - Israel. The Tel Aviv Rosenblum Arts Award
